<mp3-metadata-interval>:
- is this parameter applied only to mp3 streams, or is it working correctly to aac and other formats too?
- is this parameter applied to streams specifically relayed from other IceCast servers, or only to Shoutcast relays?
- is this parameter applied to streams coming from encoders pushing directly to this server?
Is there a default-setting, to globally override all the metadata intervals for all the mounts? |

The parameter applies to non-ogg streams, so mp3,aac,nsv etc could use it.
The parameter deals with the shoutcast metadata interval that we send to the connected listeners. It does not matter what the source of the stream is.
source clients generally use the /admin/metadata approach to sending metadata not in-stream updates. But as the setting only applies to the sending to listeners then it does not affect how the data comes into icecast.
