I'm currently testing out Icecast to do some live video concert streaming from a Windows computer. It seems like the only software out there is Visonair.tv Ogg Streamer. Are there any others that I've missed?

The Visonair.tv Ogg Streamer is very similar to NSV Live Capture which I've been testing with Shoutcast. I really like these programs but they aren't 100% compatible with my video capture hardware, USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor. I've come to the conclusion that since capture software for Icecast and Shoutcast is limited it would be better for me to find new video capture hardware.

Right now, I'm on a Windows XP laptop but am considering getting a "portable" desktop so I'm looking at all types of capture cards at the moment (USB, PCI, PCI Expres, etc...). If you don't have a specific product in mind is there a company that I should focus in on? Previously, I used a product from Plextor, ConvertX PX-AV100U, which was fully compatible with NSV Live Capture but it frequently caused my computer to crash so I'll probably stay away from them.

Also, if I get a new computer, more than likely it will have Windows Vista so would I run into any compatibility issues with any of this capture software?

I have tested Splitcam software on win32 environment few days with NSVcap.
With Splitcam, I can play avi/mpg video files and switch to connected camera. Splitcam runs as capture device, so NSVcap can use it as source for video.
You can find Splitcam with Google.
