I created my own perl module to get my playlist from a database.
The problem i have is trying to start ices0.4 after i changed my playlist type to perl.
The following error is shown when trying to run the command
"ices -c /usr/local/etc/ices.conf.dist"
Logfile opened
Initialization of playlist handler failed. (This binary has no support for embedded perl)
Ices exiting...
According to the documantation it should support embedded perl, does anyone know how i can solve this? |

Hello i see what i did wrong, i did not have activate the perl feature of ices0.
But i can't seem to get it working. The command i am trying to run in the ices0 map is
./configure --with-perl --with-lame
if i remove the --with-perl part it works but with it doesn't. The error it is giving is:
checking for perl_contrust ...no
configure: error: Could not link to perl
does anyone know how to solve this error?
SOLVED:
forgot to install the libperl-dev package and forgote to configure ices0 with perl.
edit: the log file says : cannot find -lperl |
