|
|
Good afternoon,
I couldn't help but notice some strange browser behavior from the status pages of the 2.3.3 KH7 branch. So, I upgraded to the latest (KH9). However, now the pages are completely blank. Before, a frame might drop out one at a time. Now I can't see anything.
Suggestions?
Thanks so much! _________________ Seth Cole (Google+) (@rockhost)

blank appearance would either mean incorrect data received by the browser or a connection termination. An xml reload for example could show that up as any page requests may occur at the same time as the ports are re-opened. Anything further would require knowing what is in the logs and what you see on a per request basis. It could be a mime type issue for the file requests.

After reviewing another forum post (http://icecast.imux.net/viewtopic.php?t=7937&sid=d746e9cc2d13bccf4de586e176dcb693) I came to the conclusion that the client limit had been reached.
I have increased that value tenfold. The problem seems to have subsided. You may want to consider this in the next branch upgrade. It seems to be some sort of bug.
Thanks,

A client limit has always been present in icecast, it acts as a limiter, any exceeding of that limit will be logged in the error log that is specified in the xml. Other than removing the limit completely then I'm not sure what else is being suggested. It has been used to identify a client leak before now so I'm not convinced on removing it completely for just an incorrect setting.
