Hi @all,
is there any possibility to deactivate the admin-pages at icecast?
I always get a response if I connect via browser to
http://<ip-addres>/admin/
Unfortunately I will always be asked for username and password, even if I commented out the <adminroot> in icecast.xml and restarted icecast.
I did not find any hint for the alias "/admin".
Where is the possibility to deactivate the admin-pages? I will only configure icecast via command-line. _________________ Icecast 2.4.0 (debian)

If you mean the xsl pages, then sure you can remove them but it doesn't do much. source clients still update metadata via the admin hooks. You can alias in the KH tree but that does not take wildcards so you can alias /admin or /admin/listclients.xsl for instance

Hi Karl,
thank you for your reply. I tried this, but this is not what I wanted to do.
I wanted to disabled the posibility to access http://<ip-address>/admin/
Unfortunately I do not find any hint, where the virtual directory admin/ is configured.
Where is the information which docs should be opened if you open http://<ip-address>/admin/ ?
It cannot be the <adminroot> in icecast.xml because I already changed it to a path that does not exist. _________________ Icecast 2.4.0 (debian)

you haven't actually said what you want it to do. you'll always have a response even if it's just a closed connection. adminroot is the path to the admin xsl pages but again, there's a little more to /admin than xsl pages.

on 2.3.x, you cannot as the admin pages are specially handled, on the kh you can use the alias mechanism
