Hi, can someone help me with anything.
I have a icecast streaming of 128 kb.
If I'm going to listen through my windows media player or any other player it will take a few seconds before he starts playing.
What can I or what do I need to do that right the player starts to play.
And not that the player first goes buffering 61% 71% 92% and then start playing.
I want the player very quickly starts to play and not first buffer.
Hope you guys can help me.
Best regards, Rahul |

Hi Rahul,
i fear you didn't understand streaming. Aside from (and even in) local area networks every streaming tech needs to build up (at least) a buffer.
Furthermore the buffering time depends on the player, not (so much) on the server side.
You should go and try for other players (VLC for instance) if they start quickly enough for you. I think the windows media player is incredible slow on this, isn't it? |
