I'm streaming using AAC and HE-AAC and working with JPlayer as a listening client. JPlayer wants to see the mime type for AAC streams as audio/mp4 and not audio/aac or audio/aacp. Every instance of an Icecast AAC stream I have checked returns a header with audio/aacp as the content type. Anyone know if this is configurable or is it hard coded? |

if your source client submits m4a content to icecast then it should be ok, there will be no parsing of mp4 but should pass through to players. AFAIK there is no conversion within any build of icecast between ADTS and m4a.

JPlayer also plays audio/aacp or at least it always did, it is not the latest version of the player used at the example
