Curious question...

Outside of the tweaks that Karl is known for with this project, does anyone have a handy summary of the differences between Icecast KH and the Xiph version which is now at 2.4.1?

I'm updating the docs for and making a few changes to my XOOPS module and would like to update the documentation accordingly.

I do need to compile a list in more detail but the main differences are

scalability, better mapping of clients to cpus, and auth is parallelized more
mp3/aac/ts is frame aligned
mp3/aac can be FLV wrapped on listener request

A number of smaller aspect are different that may be important for some.

auth can handled a few more responses, redirection, error reporting, intro content, source hijacking
a master can use normal auth for slave relays, ie slave specific auth
mount-name take take wildcards
various mount options to tweak settings, like max bandwidth as well as max-listeners, rate and duratrion limiting

karl.
