hi, i 've installed icecast server on my computer with linux os on it, and now i would like to use it to stream some mp3 music to a web page of mine.
web page is located on the same computer as icecast. the problem is i need to use embedded player, the one that is available with every browser, firefox uses quicktime as a default player, so my question is could anyone who has done something like this post an example of html code that i could use for my web page? please help, it's very important |

There's no one component that you have access to everywhere for mp3 AFAIK, many use a flash plugin to get mp3 stream playback. With Vorbis you could use the cortado java plugin at http://www.flumotion.net/cortado/

It is a link in portuguese, but you do not need to read,
just copy the html code.
Works very well for me.
When I click on the link
mplayerplug-in plays the stream.
