It's not the player, it's your m3u.
It contains the stream URI
Code: |
http://localhost:8000/stream.ogg |
Localhost will work for you, but no-one else.
Consider changing the hostname directive in the icecast config to correctly reflect your Internet hostname. |

Ok.. I changed it in icecast cfg file. In oddcast it has a "Server IP" setting. Do I put the local or the publick ip there?
thanks |

Is there any point in me replying when you don't read what I say?

Please excuse the my ingnorance. The learning curve is just sooo steap. I've managed to setup a web site on IIS, mail server, and now working on icecast all on a home CPU.
Anyhow changed it to my host name - www.luisandcarla.com
What else would you suggest?
Thanks for your patience. |

the m3u now looks like
http://http://www.luisandcarla.com:8000/stream.ogg
which would indicate that you actually set the <hostname> to "http://www.luisandcarla.com" and not "www.luisandcarla.com", note the difference. Here hostname means a hostname or IP address not a URL
