|
|
Dear all,
I currently see some issues with playback of ondmeand-files (MP3) in icecast.
I try to playback an MP3-file from icecast in iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.2) and at some point the playback jumps back to the beginning and restarts playback.
If the file is opened locally on Iphone6 (other iOS-devices are also affected) the file plays well.
I could replicate the issue with Icecast 4.0 and Icecast 2.3.2-kh32.
The logfile does not show any special issues. Only correct hits.
The file also does not seem to be corrupted, because I see same issues with other MP3-files.
What could be the problem? _________________ Icecast 2.4.0 (debian)

nothing jumps out at me for this, it sounds like from your description that the iphone disconnects and reconnects but that would show in the access log. You could try with a later kh build to see if that has a different effect.

I'll repeat the mantra:
Don't use Icecast as a web-server for static content!
I suspect iOS tries to request ranges and we don't support that, because we don't have to. Range requests are HTTP 1.1, we only support HTTP 1.0 for client requests. |
