when my listeners cant hear anything when they tune in my ports are open so i dont know whats wrong any ideas?also i used this tutorial http://www.poromenos.org/tutorials/icecast |

just try accessing the /status.xsl web page externally. You'll see that the connection isn't established, which means the routing between outside to icecast and back out isn't right. We have no information about your setup to advise but invariably it's either a firewall blocking the port (unlikely as your own lan connections seem ok) or you have a NAT (which makes your network run on private addressess like 192.168.x.x), in which case your NAT box is not forwarding external requests to icecast.
