What you are asking for is not clear. If it is about relaying a stream only when there are listeners then you can in the upcoming release (2.3), it's called on-demand relays. If you are referring to something else then can you explain.

yes, but it has to know what the streams are beforehand, it won't take requests from listener apps and dynamically create them.

can you explain me in more details.
for example i can run relaying for one radio on one PC which is server, but if i run 3 instances of winamp to listen on client and radio traffic is geting three times higher for server too which doesn't make any sense since Smile
i can achive that without server:))))))))

if you are running a relay icecast on your LAN, then you use winamp to talk to the icecast on your LAN. making winamp talk directly to an internet stream will just mean you bypass the local icecast and increase the bandwidth used externally. Icecast is s not a transparent proxy.

here is it:
http://213.145.114.251:8000/fresh1.ogg.m3u
this mount goes to:
<relay>
<server>193.108.24.21</server>
<port>8000</port>
<mount>/fresh.ogg</mount>
<local-mount>/fresh1.ogg</local-mount>
<on-demand>1</on-demand>

you will get 3 seperate connections to the relay server, as each winamp maintains its own connection to the relay, but the relay will only be creating one connection to 193.108.24.21 for all of those those players. In the case of on-demand being enabled then that single connection will only be started if there is at least 1 listener on the relay.
