|
|
Running Icecast2 and Ices 0.4 on FreeBSD 6.1, installed from ports collection.
Having problem with listener clients disconnecting on track changes;
Typically, Winamp will hang at 'buffer 0%' and has to be manually reconnected to the audio stream.
Running Ices in verbose mode, I noticed the following:
Code: |
DEBUG: Updated metadata on /gdub to: Bleep Radio e29 - Scott Cormier - 0420-2006
Error during send: Libshout reported send error, disconnecting: Socket error
Mounted on http://localhost:8000/gdub
DEBUG: Delaying metadata update...
DEBUG: Updated metadata on /gdub to: Bleep Radio e29 - Scott Cormier - 0420-2006
|
Also, I noticed the following in my error.log:
Code: |
[2006-10-17 03:12:28] DBUG source/get_next_buffer last 1161079917, timeout 30,now 1161079948

ocket timeout

[2006-10-17 03:12:28] DBUG stats/modify_node_event update node sources (0) |
I should also note my files are both .ogg & .mp3 in assorted bitrates, which I am reencoding to 128 kbs mp3 and that the 'disconnect' problem seems to be exclusive to long dj mixset files of over an hour in duration.
Regular 2-3 min. pop tracks seem to switch over ok without the errors or listen client disconnects.
Any ideas on how I may correct this issue?
Let me know if I need to supply any other info and THANKS in advance for the help. |

i think that the problem is with server load.
check your server load, and if its big, thats the problem. |
