|
|
Hello,
I think it is a simple question..
For our local radiostation we have an icecast server runnen, providing our listeners with a live stream.
Now I want when listeners start listening to the stream first a jingle is played and then the live stream.
What is the best way to achieve this?
I know it can be done with a play list.. but I dont think this is nice, becaus the listereners then have always two files in their player..
Who has some ideas??
Regards,

you want the most current (2.3 RC3) with intro file support. Documentation is here : http://www.icecast.org/docs/icecast-trunk/icecast2_config_file.html#mount

This option does not work in version 2.2.0 I guess?
Thanks! |

Can I download this new version and install it on FreeBSD 5.4 with the normal commands I use like pkgadd or the ports collection?

2.2 does not have the intro file option, as to whether the FreeBSD maintainers have built a package, you'll have to ask them. You may find that they won't do a package until 2.3 is released.
