I have installed Icest and Ices0 to stream mp3's. I would like to incorporate a few different streams to choose and the only way I have found to do it is to have multiple config files for ices pointing to different ports and starting multiple instances if ices.
Is there a better way to acomplish this? I don't necessarily need Ices0 if there is a better client. |

If you want different content on those streams then you'll need seperate encoders for them (multiple ices config files). You don't need multiple ports, just use a unique mountpoint for each stream.

Karl,
Just to be certain...you say that I need multiple config files. That also means that I need multiple instances of Ices0 running, correct? |

yes, if the content is to be different, however a single ices can create multiple streams from the same content.
