It appears that the Win32 version of 2.3.2 is leaking memory and handles.

I have 2.3.2 installed on a Windows Server 2003 box and have it setup to relay on demand the sources of a master server.

After the server has been running for 24 hours it is now using 234MB of virtual memory and has 27,280 handles open with 83 clients connected (the admin page reports there are -31 listeners). The admin page reports that it is currently relaying 47 sources.

I've checking on the memory usage periodically and each time I check the amount of memory in use is always higher than before even if the number of listeners decreases.

Here is the contents of the admin page in case it's useful:

Code:
admin    icemaster@localhost
client_connections    42660
clients    133
connections    42684
file_connections    358
host    icecast2.scanamerica.us
listener_connections    3042
listeners    -32
location    Earth
server_id    Icecast 2.3.2
server_start    Fri, 11 Jul 2008 20:22:27 Mountain Daylight Time
source_client_connections    0
source_relay_connections    1127
source_total_connections    1127
sources    47
stats    0
stats_connections    0

Since this is a relay server and not my master I can use it to gather more data if you need me to. If you don't have time to look at this now I'll install 2.3.1 and see if it has the same problem in my configuration (this is my first relay server and my master server is running on a Linux box).

Do you have the log files (level 4) to show what actions are being taken when the leaks show up? Those and the xml configuration (passwords can be blanked) should provide the first clues.

I turned on debug logging and let it run for 12 hours and recorded the memory usage, handle count, and number of listeners at different points of the day. I'll PM you the URL to the logs and other files.

Thanks

Just as a followup for others. The setup in this case is not that common, a large number of on-demand relays. I've identified 2 cases of concern that could lead to what appears to be leaks and the testing of these so far shows that the usage is lower.
