The only player I got to work was ogg123. It runs on the command line in linux. I'm not sure if it's available for a mac. |

If any player doesn't work on track changes then you need to report the issue to the developers of those apps specifying the version of the player and any plugins you have. Just make sure that the content you are streaming is in a consistent format as many players have trouble changing things like samplerate and channels on the fly. You may find that it is just a problem with an old version of the player code.

I should mention that I did very little experimentation and investigating when ogg123 was the only player I got to work with my Icecast stream. Its very likely I was doing something wrong. |

I've had the same problem, running mpd/icecast2 on Ubuntu--after several years of successful streaming, a few months ago most clients I tried stopped playing at each track change.
I just did a manual update to mpd 0.15, however, and the problem has gone away. I'm not sure why this helped, but it did. |
