|
|
I'd like to get "push" mode for relaying.
Example: I have own private Icecast2 running, I stream there NSV-video with nsvcap. On my server I have /stream.nsv, and would like to push it to some other server under mountpoint /MyCoolVideoStream.nsv.
Instead of asking other servers admin to set relay that will check every 120s (or whatever) if my server has /stream.nsv online (which then goes into his /MyCoolVideoStream.nsv mountpoint).
So, basically just having my server to pushing content to friends server, not friends server pulling content from my server. Oh and yes, straight pushing, no any modifications (transcoding) into stream (unless headers/metadata or so needed). |

Mmm.. That push mode would need to set into config where to push, with mountpoint and password definitions. No problem to add some .nsv mountpoints for other Icecast2. |

The ability to send data from a newly connected mountpoint to another icecast2 server is certainly something that could be added, a report on bugs.xiph.org for such a thing can be added.

I've already asked for bugs.xiph.org to resolve correctly but I guess it hasn't been done. use trac.xiph.org
