The mountpoint is DJCRADIO.m3u right?

Do you now if this>>http://76....:8000/mountpoint.m3u will work with media player?

Also do I leave the Oddcast Server IP localhost?

I tried the above link and it doesn't work in media player.

The mountpoint for the stream will begin with a / so if it would be /DJCRADION and the with the m3u extension for the playlist.

Not sure is wmp handles m3u or not but if not you can knock up a asx or whatever microsoft uses instead of what everyone else finds acceptable and place it on you web server. Now you know what your stream url is, the playlist format is trivial.

How do I confirm that this m3u link even works? If I were to put this in my address bar should it play? because it's not.

I guess now I'm in need of a media player or similar that will Stream my music from winamp/Icecast.

looks like you are blocking access to port 8000, that will be the reason why I cannot access the icecast server.

Hmm I don't understand why the port would be blocked.

I don't think the m3u extension will work because I don't have a saved playlist on my servers website. I'm playing all my music LIVE on winamp meaning I'm selecting my music LIVE like Dee Jaying. Thats the main point of what I'm trying to do. Just simply play it live select tracks live.

http://localhost:8000/DJCRADIO.mp3 it works fine.
http://76.xxx.x.xx:8000/DJCRADIO.mp3 and http://76.xxx.x.xx:8000/DJCRADIO.m3u doesn't work.

Here is my HTML media player tag with I guess the incorrect URL.
Basically Media player can't see the Icecast server. Finding the correct lURL is the key in my delema.

HTML code on my webpage >> <OBJECT ID="MediaPlayer1" CLASSID="CLSID:22d6f312-b0f6-11d0-94ab-0080c74c7e95" CODEBASE="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab# Version=5,1,52,701" STANDBY="Loading Microsoft Windows® Media Player components..." TYPE="application/x-oleobject" width="220" height="55">
<param name="fileName" value="http://76.xxx.x.xx:8000/DJCRADIO.mp3">
<param name="animationatStart" value="true">
<param name="ShowStatusBar" value="true">
<PARAM name="ShowDisplay" VALUE="false">
<param name="transparentatStart" value="true">
<param name="autoStart" value="true">
<param name="showControls" value="true">
<param name="Volume" value="-300">
<embed type="application/x-mplayer2" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer/" src="http://76.xxx.x.xx:8000/DJCRADIO.mp3" name="MediaPlayer1" width=220 height=55 autostart=1 showcontrols=1 ShowControls="1" ShowStatusBar="1" ShowDisplay="1" volume=-300>
</OBJECT>

Here is the Icecast server. Is the server URL and listnURL correct.

It is impossible for me to say where the block is occurring as I'm not your network administrator. When an external connection gets to the 76.... address, either a firewall is dropping it or you have a NAT which is not forwarding it on to the correct internal address. You do have NAT involved as you have 192.168.x.x addresses.

You can place the m3u link on your website if you wish, but if you block listeners from icecast then they won't get the stream.

Lets start with the basics. I got Oddcast and Icecast seeing each other OK.

My mountpoint is DJCRADIO.mp3
My Icecast host name is localhost.
My Oddcast server IP is localhost.
My YP settings are unchecked. or should this be public with url??????

So your saying this URL is correct based on my configuration.
.m3u

and if this doesn't work something is blocking that port.

So I completely turned off my Firewall and still it's blocked.

The communication with this url and Icecast aren't on the same page.

As your mountpoint is /DJCRADIO.mp3 then the URL link for an m3u would be /DJCRADIO.mp3.m3u. The YP settings are only needed if you want to advertise on the stream directory.

The default xml has an alias of / to /status.xsl which means that using a web browser to get http://76....:8000/ should get me a web page. As I do it now, all that happen is a timeout, no response which is typical of a firewall blocking the port or NAT for forwarding the connection to the correct IP. Check the latter if you are sure that a firewall isn't the issue.
