assuming you added the tags correctly, hard to tell from your post, then I would check your error log to see what is actually happening. maybe the directory cannot be contacted or maybe the stream is being rejected or maybe the entry is being dropped because the address provided is wrong. These are all possibilities which need to be checked. As I've already indicated in another post, about a minute after the stream is started, icecast will attempt to add the stream to the directory. If the tags are incorrect then you won't see any mention of the directory.

Hi there, our stations is listed, but it's impossible to find them by name. Why?
I mean, if i type "clubberry", the search gives no results, but when i type "hardstyle" it gives me our Clubberry Hard station.

Also, we have each station in 3 bitrates, but with the same name, so i see 3 copies of, for example, Clubberry Hard and there is no any information about bitrate. I think it's not fine... Maybe you should group streams with the same name but different bitrates or at least write the bitrate near the title?

check your error log for attempts to register with the directory, look for entries with yp in them. If 3 streams are working then it's not a server wide setup, but you could be disabling listing on a per-mount basis or an attempt could be getting rejected for some reason.

Nothing strange there, just touches. No any YP-errors.

The YP details seem to be changing. It looks like you have some customization of the xsl pages but the titles look to be updating there as well.

The <directory> tags must be uncommented, the <hostname> must be valid and the stream needs to be marked public either in the source client or in the mount section. Check your log file for attempts to register the streams with the directory.

Thanks. I have already understood and at me it has turned out on another. Has read the instruction on your site about directory, has inserted the given config in xml a file and now all works, I see the station on the statistican, all works. Thanks. Excuse for anxiety.

Hello everybody,

we are using master/slave configuration, but only the master listener count is listed in the directory. Is there a possibility to get complete listener counts on the master server and publish them to the directory?

Right now some stations have a lot of listeners which should also be in master/slave configuration.

as long as your slave is configured to advertise on the directory then it should work. If you do see error log entries referring to updates to the directory then let me know the specifics and we can look into it more.
