configure: error: XSLT configuration could not be found


cent os 5 is my OS, tried setting --with-xslt-config=/usr/lib/xsltConf.sh
in the configure but nothing

xslt-config is the utility that you need to refer to not /usr/lib/xsltConf.sh

The kh build is mainly for features that get worked on before being merged into trunk. You should see the main changes listed on my web page. I don't do detailed docs until I've nailed down the mechanism fully but I mention the basic mechanism in use on the web page, NEWS file, sample xml, and/or postings I make.

The usual cause is down to a missing package from a distribution. The names can vary but they will be something like libxslt-devel or libxslt-dev. You just need to install it for your distribution

i tried installing a library from the official gnome site and it said that it alredy had a newer version 2.6 something

The configure message comes from the fact that xslt-config is not available and that exists in the development package for xslt. Check your distribution site for packages, I doubt that the gnome site is what you want.
