Hello all,

We're having some issues with source clients not consistently streaming to the Icecast server resulting in the outgoing stream going to the fallback. It seems like a partial solution to this would be for Icecast to buffer the incoming source stream. Is this possible?

not really, at some point (depending on various settings) the listeners will stop receiving data and playback will stop, you might as well just increase the source timeout. If you are getting many dropouts from the source feed then I would check your network link between the 2 hosts.
