Hi,
I currently use icecast for my redio station. The current setup is that we have a live stream that is active when dj's connect via edcast as a source from a remote location, and a fallback stream that runs continuously in the background which listeners get moved to when there is no live stream. We also have the server set up to record the live mountpoint.
I would like to start broadcasting live video streams on the site, but i have a couple of issues.
One is that some of my sources use nicecast to connect as they are using macs. Is there any way that they can broadcast video to the server?
Also, can we still keep the same setup we have currently, i.e. can we still run a fallback stream and archive the video?
If this is all possible what software would i need derver side (windows) and client side (windows/mac).
I have been looking at various solutions but nothing seems to be jumping out at me.
Thanks in advance.
