Hey all. I think it's really good idea to add a restriction possibility for the broadcast bitrate of source client. Example, i have source with 64 kbit/s and limited it to 20 users. I want to deny him broadcasting on higher bitrate or if i allow him i don't want him to exceed the 64 kbit/s * 20 listeners = 1280 kbit/s i've maintained to ensure for the stream. Is there any way possible to allow this thru icecast with no external firewall?
In short the target is to have option for example to limit the maximum outbound bandwidth used by a given mountpoint. |

not in 2.3.2, in the kh tree you can use a mount option to limit the incoming data stream. I'd like to hear feedback on this to make sure the kh10+ changes work ok.
eg
<limit_rate>68k</limit_rate> or
<limit_rate>68000</limit_rate>
the average bitrate for incoming data is taken over the last minute. Originally I had this dropping the source client if it was constantly above the limit but now I just limit the reading of the socket, eventually the source client should drop if too much data is being sent.
