I am running a Nicecast client and upstreaming to a remote Icecast2
server. Although Nicecast has a built-in icecast2 server, I use the
remote one to handle more listener (obviously).

When I use nicecast's built-in icecast server I am given full listener
statistics data (IP addy, etc). But when I use the external server I
don't get any listener information at all. I assumed (perhaps incorrectly)
that the client-to-server protocol between nicecast and the external
icecast server would continue to pass back these stats, but I guess
not. Any reason why?

This seems like a logical thing for the protocol to support.
