I wanted to point out a small project of mine that is making some progress.
I've developed a small flash framework to play back aac+ and metaint title data directly from icecast using flash. So.. yeah, in short, a flash player for icecast that doesnt need a transcoder for aacp and title data.
For full title support, you'll need a socket policy server running for flash. To just have simple aap and aacp playback, you only need to serve the flash from the built in web directory.
Any crossdomain action must comply with strict policy rules, or it wont fly.
There is a small sample swf to try, built for icecast audio available. So far, the supported codecs include MP3, AAC/AACP, AVC Video, SUBT, AUXA, ASYN, VP6.

A few of the readers are still being optimized, but I figured the core is developed enough to start letting people play with it.
