I am still having the same problem, The feed plays fine with Winamp, But when people use Windows Media player it takes several up to about 7-8 minutes to Buffer, and the feed is delayed by almost 10min! but Winamp is dead on. Can anyone help?? I am about to wipe everything clean and start fresh! but that would be alot of hassle? the communications center who depends on this feed only uses WMP. so I am really in need of some help!

if wmp does play the stream (unspecificed format) then it has the codec handling, but 7-8 mins is very long. Either the bitrate is very low or the wmp buffer is very large. The one quirk I know of with wmp is VBR mp3 streams don't work but you haven't said anything about that.

Well I how do I figure out VBR or bitrate for the player.
I am using oddcastV3/Winamp and icecast as server.
I have the bit rate on oddcast set to 16, tried 24 no difference.

The link you posted refers to a stream where the bitrate is variable. You need to use a constant mp3 bitrate for wmp to work correctly

It should be on the encoder settings within oddcast, I can't comment directly on oddcast as it's not an app I use, ask over at www.oddsock.org if you can't see something obvious.
