Is it possible to switch between source clients feeding to a Icecast server and not drop listeners when the transition is made ?

This would be the same as the AutoDumpUsers configuration for the Shoutcast DNAS server.

try fallback.

mp1 fallsback to mp2

if mp1 is not present, clients will listen to mp2

if mp1 is present, clients will be moved back to mp1 from mp2

this is what I have in mind... if somebody is transmitting in mp1, then a second one starts mp2, then mp1 is shutdown, but customers will be transparently moved.... after that, transmitting to mp1 will bring back the customers.

not a very nice solution, but it works.. and customers will only have to listen mp1, even when the transmission originates on mp2.

regards
