Icecast Streaming Media Server

hey karl, i changed my 2 playlist songs to ones from vorbis.com and that worked correctly. So, must be something with vorbiscomment breaking those songs

the tracks are changing when tuning in, but still not updating the songtitle. I dont see any errors or even warnings in the debug log

no entries are added to icecast error.log or playlist.log when ...

its ices2 server only not doing it, ices0.4 works fine

when I goto next song or let it reach the 2nd song the "Current Song" title doesn't display. Although the first song always works, all songs work if they go first so the metadata is there.

like ices 0.4's commands, what are ices2 signals for nextsong and reload?

ices 0.4 nextsong: kill -usr1 pid
ices 0.4 reload: kill -hup pid

do you know of what line of code in the .c files I can perhaps add the filename as the song title, then if it finds meta ...

can you please explain how vorbiscomment can add a song title where there would otherwise be none? I dont see how that helps. ty

the problem is icecast doesnt seem to run from root on linux, so you have to enable the chroot.
But, once you do that and set the chroot directory to say /home/icecast , that folder now doesnt have / ...

that sounds about right karl, just one problem. Where is libcurl and our libcurl-devel ?
yum install and yum search bring up nothing, the Downloads page on icecast.org brings up nothing about libcurl ...

Directory listing not working

I am running icecast 2.3.2 with ices 0.4
