| testing is going well so far.
changing <hostname> from localhost to the IP of the machine seems to be the fix. thank you for your time. Mike |

| that is correct. I have that as default. would I need to change that to the ip of the machine?
what stumps me is why it plays when no authentication is needed, but does not when requiring authentic ... |
