Hello
I have mandriva linux and i installed Icecast and ices (latest).
But i have in the server one audio card one radio fm card (radio_gemtek_pci) im using the fm card to archive the station (i make station backups) . The problem is what device should i chose when i wan to stream ? , if i put oss its say device is busy, if i put alsa no sound ...
Witch device should i set to ices.conf ?

If you want ices to capture from the fm card then you need to specify the device for that card in ices, try arecord -L for a list of alsa devices

These are really alsa questions, if 'default' does not refer to the device you want then you need to look in more detail at your alsa setup, dsnoop is the component of alsa that allows multiple apps to capture audio. As soon as you know which it is, you just place that in your ices2 alsa module setup.
