|
|
I have installed SAM 4.2.2, and Icecast 2. I am running them from a 3ghz Intel laptop with 512 meg RAM running Windows XP SP2. This is networked through a D-link WBR-1310. The D-link Router has ports 8000-8005 forwarded to the static ip of the laptop. I then set my configuration within Icecast 2 as follows:
| Code: |
<icecast>
<limits>
<clients>100</clients>
<sources>2</sources>
<threadpool>5</threadpool>
<queue-size>524288</queue-size>
<client-timeout>30</client-timeout>
<header-timeout>15</header-timeout>
<source-timeout>10</source-timeout>
<burst-on-connect>1</burst-on-connect>
<burst-size>65535</burst-size>
</limits>
<authentication>
<source-password>*********</source-password>
<relay-password>********</relay-password>
<admin-user>admin</admin-user>
<admin-password>*******</admin-password>
</authentication>
<hostname>localhost</hostname>
<listen-socket>
<port>8000</port>
</listen-socket>
<listen-socket>
<port>8000</port>
</listen-socket>
<fileserve>1</fileserve>
<paths>
<basedir>./</basedir>
<logdir>./logs</logdir>
<webroot>./web</webroot>
<adminroot>./admin</adminroot>
<alias source="/" dest="/status.xsl"/>
</paths>
<logging>
<accesslog>access.log</accesslog>
<errorlog>error.log</errorlog>
<loglevel>4</loglevel> <!-- 4 Debug, 3 Info, 2 Warn, 1 Error -->
<logsize>10000</logsize> <!-- Max size of a logfile -->
</logging>
<security>
<chroot>0</chroot>
</security>
</icecast>
|
Now, within the local machine, and within the local LAN I am able to access the stream and all admin pages. But when I attempt to access the stream or admin pages from the public ip or my DynDNS name of radiodragon.kicks-ass.org, I am unable to reach anything.
Assistance would be appreciated, as I am sure this is some small thing I am overlooking. |

It's hard to say exactly, from the xml point of view, the xml still lists localhost as the hostname and for some reason you have port 8000 listed twice but there's nothing there that would prevent access outside the LAN. What is more likely is that your firewall/NAT is not really forwarding the packets, only a packet sniffer could verify it. It won't be a firewall on your laptop as other LAN machines can access it.
