Hi there I have Icecast hosted in the same server with my xampp/apache installation.

Is it possible to read some of the stats that are available in stats.xsl from another web page hosted in xampp's port 80.

I have my web site in the same server and I'd like to have something like a live directory of my mount points in my web sites web page without having to send my web visitors to icecast web directory at port 8000.

Can I do that even if I host to another physical server?

Regards

Panos Wink

If you don't want to embed a frame or similar the you'll need to use some server task to collect that information and then generate the page that your listeners will get.

Thank you KarlH,
As I'm not an expert in server task (?) can you drop a line of code that I should use in my html page?

If this is trouble...

How can I embed the actual stats.xsl in a frame with auto refresh?

There are several possibilities for getting information, using php or any other programming language you can query the existing pages or custom built weboot pagesto extract teh information you want. Obviously I have no idea what your situation is or what your requirements are to be specific.

In html (the spec is easily available) there are tags like frame and iframe etc to tell the browser to load a specific page which can be from another server.

Very Happy working!
We managed to fully read xsl pages in a html frame.

Works great.

It is like having a live directory of the streaming server in your main company's web page.

Have great time.
