Icecast Streaming Media Server

Just downloaded icecast2 to winXP and running traktor dj software V3.2 want to setup for broadcast but don't have a clue not a tech person, help files not much use and don't have files it say's i should have. icecast panel is working (I think) has green light if that meens anything to anyone. Just don't know where to start or what I'm supposed to be doing to get it working.

Any help would be appreciated

first thing is to make sure the icecast server is running (use a browser to access the status page). Then configure the source client to stream to icecast.

If I only knew how to do that that's how much a novice i am, just really don't have a clue it's all double dutch to me

well a browser requires a url, and you have an IP and port number for icecast as specified in the xml configuration. so the url is http://ip:port/

As for the source client, well that's varied, there are so many ways it could be configured but they all require a connection to icecast which requires a IP and port and a mountpoint (eg /stream or /stream.ogg so that icecast knows what it is dealing with)

Sorry if I appear ignorant but, you be as well talking hindu, because i don't uderstand what you are talking about and how to sort out this. What you replied meens nothing to me. Told you I didn't have clue sorry

tried typing in that URL nothing happened exept error message and srver is running accourding to the control panel
