Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hello everyone,
I realize that icecast is not responsible for tech support on oddcast but I post here for two reasons:

1. I can't get anyone to respond to my post from the 15th on oddcast forums.
2. It may or may not be an oddcast problem, I am not sure.

I use an icecast server on Loudcity.net so I cannot admin icecast. I am using Winamp and the oddcast plugin. If nothing is playing on my Winamp and I connect in oddcast all is good. However as soon as I hit play it disconnects and logs are not very helpful. they do not show why there was a disconnection - just says disconnected. If I hit stop on Winamp and then connect again it says connected. I have seen others post this problem here and at oddcast but the solution was not revealed or they were not answered.

You need to see the icecast logs. An immediate disconnection would tend to indicate an auth problem, but the server could be full or not have certain support for the codec used, or a timeout could be set too low.
