Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hello,

I am looking to retrieve a log to copy of sort from my server running Icecast of what actually played. I want to retrieve a record of what I see the command prompt is showing as a history dating as far back as say 24-48 hours. Any help? Thanks.

enable the playlist log and refer to that

I did not install icecast and I am left fending for myself here, where do I enable the playlist log?

you set it in the icecast configuration file. You should see a value for playlistlog along with errorlog and accesslog

so add a playlistlog

forgive me for perhaps asking a stupid question. I can just physically create in the logs folder a text file "playlistlog.txt" and a post-play log will be created within icecast?

Just add the xml tag to icecast xml and restart the icecast server, the log will be created automatically just like the error log is.
