Hi everybody
I am a newbie with icecast and i would like to know a couple of things to solve my problem.
I am trying to stream a video which i create from getting instant images from a webcam. I use jpeg2yuv (that i properly modified) to create the yuv stream, pass it to mpeg2enc and then to ffmeg2theora in a pipe that looks like
jpeg2yuv -f 25 -I p -R 0 -m 40000 -u <url> | mpeg2enc -v 0 -o /dev/stdout | ffmpeg2theora -f mpg -B 1 -o /dev/stdout - | ezstream -c <config.xml>
...and finally use ezstream to send it to the server.
The point is that 2 encoding in a row are quite expensive in terms of CPU usage and the quality i get client-side sucks.
I would like to know if there is a possibility to stream mpeg video to the server(or a raw stream), and if no which are the modifications i have to make to the server to let it?
Or what is a way to use ffmpeg2theora all the way and make it more slight?
Thank you in advance
