i have a relay from shoutcast and i am sending another source from SAM, but the mountpoint shows up and disappaers in the webpage

help plse

That does not say whether the relay or the source client get killed off for any reason. Only the error log will say for sure.

can icecast act as source for shoutcast?? it says reconnect in 30sec


whats the pass on the relay for??

no icecast is not a source for shoutcast, it is a server to be a replacement for shoutcast. I believe shoutcast can relay a shoutcast stream if that is what you are asking.

The username and password in <relay> are there to pass username authentication when connecting to a remote server.

There is so much you are not telling us. Are you saying that the stream is being disconnected, if so then check your error log. Is the problem with a relay or the source client. If you meant the source client then are you using shoutcast style connections, again check your error log.

If the problem is that the details appear and then disappear from the status page then it will not be down to authentication or port configuration as it will have to pass those. Again check the erro log to see what the actual error is.

We have a numbers of streams listed, also a certain number that are rejected because of an incorrect hostname or a firewall blocking access. Without more information about your stream it's hard to check anything.
