Please help me, how to re-read ices0.4 playlist without a stop of the broadcasting? Sometimes I should add some songs, but I cannot stop an announcement because my listeners will be dissatisfied...

The file is checked each time a filename is wanted, so just modify it. According to the docs you can use the USR1 signal to immediately jump to the next track.

Thank you for a lot!

Can you help me, please, how to send this USR1 signal at unix? Smile
Like that? /usr/local/bin/ices -HUP USR1

It may be very userfully for me!

Created record in /etc/crontab file whitch run this script:
Code:
#!/bin/sh
mv /usr/radio/pl.m3u /usr/radio/pl_songs.m3u
echo "/usr/radio/jingle.mp3" > /usr/radio/pl.m3u
kill -USR1 `cat /var/log/ices/ices.pid`
sleep 3
mv /usr/radio/pl_songs.m3u  /usr/radio/pl.m3u

But not my jungle, next random song translated after it execution! Sad

If you are doing it correctly then you should be seeing a
"Reopening playlist file" debug message, but without the full log then we can only guess.

You'll have to check the code in the playlist directory, and discuss this with whoever is maintaining ices0 these days, brendan maybe able to help.
