Hi, I'm trying to embed realplayer in a web page.
However, when I try to play the stream (I'm using simplecast that send a stream to an Icecast server), the player stops after few seconds (And I see the trackbar moving, which should not move). Can anybody tell me whiy?

Only the Real player developers can tell you why, but are you running icecast 2.3, as some changes were done to allow real/helix work when mp3 metadata was asked for.

The problem is that the spec for the metadata is not defined as such, only reversed engineered, and it seems like the real client requires at least something in the first metadata block or else it gets confused and has trouble recovering. Other players don't have the problem but the fix didn't break other players so worked out well enough.
