Hi, all!
I tried icecast+ezstream, it's OK, but it actually works like a radio. And I need something that could work like a player. E.g. I need something like you see on MP3 sites when you click the Preview link or smth like that. There you can seek the audio, pause it and then resume from the point where you stopped and so on. Can you please recommend me some good software for my purposes? |

Icecast will do this, you need to look at the file serving side of it. |

Could you please be more specific? What do you mean by the file serving side? Do you mean the source client? Then which one can I use? |

Icecast will do file serving from it's webroot directory, just place your music files in there. This mode doesn't use a source client. |

Have you looked at apache's mod_mp3 or mod_musicindex? These can support the functions of ff, rewind, pause/play etc and do not require icecast, but I believe can work via Icecast as well. I use mod_musicindex to preview songs before adding them to my regular icecast broadcast and it works great.
