Hi: I am new here and I am asking for some help. Here is my setup. I have a "computer" (two actually, one linux ubuntu and the other running wndows xp). I have a VPS account at a web host and I understand it to be called "server".
So what goes where? Do I install icecast on my "computer" or in my VSP account "server"?
So far I installed icecast, edcast, winamp on my windows "computer".
I also installed it in my public_html folder and root area on the "server"
Any help would be great! Thank You. |

The most common problem in streaming is the very large request of bandwidth.
To solve this we use a pc that streams to the server and a server that streams to listeners.
So you have to install:
Server
-IceCast2
PC
- Winamp
-- EdCast

| Thank you for the clarification. So where on the server does icecast2 belong? In the public_html area or the root area? |
