Newbie here and could use some help with this. Ive got it setup and can play files on Second Life. using 2 pc's. Both are on the same router.
Http://[MYIP]:8000/listen. No one else can hear the streams.
So whats wrong with this I'm lost.

A blocking firewall or NAT is not forwarding.

thanks ive found another theard you posted too about the IP i was using a 198 http i think im getting there now. lots of little things to do with this.
still need my mp3 tab to show up on my idjc.

One thing leads to another. after what I have done here so far I'm lost.
Looks like what I need is server space is this right?
If I stream off my PC Then I cant do much more then 2 to 5 listeners right?
So Icecast2 needs to be installed on the server and Ices2 needs to be installed on the Home PC.
Is this right?

There is no requirement to install the source client remotely on a home PC. As long as it can make a connection to icecast then it can work. If bandwidth requirements mean you have such a setup then fine, it is fairly common.
