Recording source = line means to plug the jack into the line-in port, correct?

Thanks

Karl,

Just like the other post; you are the man. One last question; if I only want people to connect to the hostname:port# (i.e. voice.wvfs.fsu.edu:8050) with out example1.ogg, then would

A. I use the alias option in the icecast.xml config,

B. An apache22 redirect,

C. Just change the mount point to index.ogg and add index.ogg to the apache part where it defines index files?

Thank you so much. I am going to see how much I can get the station to donate. Thanks you.

the / mountpoint is valid for icecast, which is what the player requests in such cases. Don't forget that some players use the extension on the mountpoint to determine the codec used for playback so / may not be good enough.

Do you have to adjust the bass and treble, etc in order to get your stream to sound better? Or do normally people don't mess with these settings?

the actual settings in the mixer will vary, you just have to pick what is best.
