Hey, brothers and sisters!
Sorry in advance may be for stupid question… Could you suggest me other good open-source solutions for Real-Time interactive (conference) videostreaming with constant bit rate? Video coding scheme, platform, programming language doesn't matter. Live content is captured from simple webcam, so I am searching for solutions for low bitrates (~100Kb/s, QCIF, CIF).
Not far ago I have developed my own webcam Java video streaming solution based on x264 open-source project. But I have achieved very big latency nearly 2 seconds between server and java-applet client. What is wrong? Bad camera? or because Java?
As I know it is possible to stream through VideoLAN from webcams.
I am searching for best solution for streaming live webcam's streams. I am searching for other open-source solutions for conducting deep comparison research, including Icecast also.
I'll be very appreciate for you answers! |
