Hello,
This is my first post...I looked on the forum but couldnt find the andswers to my questions.
I have everything working OK with streaming audio.
But for video its not working OK.
-I used ffmpeg2ogg to convet a avi file to ogg
-used oggfwd on the server to feed icecast2
-I open mplayer on the mountpoint and it works OK
now the problem...
1-My friend that uses windows cant see the video, Is icecast2 compatible with Windows Media Player?? I have read that it is.....how can I make it work??
2-He also cant feed my icecast2 server live with any windows program, He uses VIsta..........We tryed some softwares on icecast2 page, and other I saw ppl saying here....How can we do that??
3- Also how can I put the video live playing in a web page??
Thanks in advance

icecast2 is essentially http so really all players can handle it, the question you are really asking is can the player handle theora which will be the video encoding you are using. The answer to that is yes if the codecs are installed. Apps like mplayer and vlc have the codecs shipped with them, window media player does not and is something that you should raise with Microsoft.

Also, now I am using ezstream, is it capable of feeding Icecast server with video from the desktop?? How can I do that?? the Ezstream running on Windows. Because in linux I know how...
