Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hi all.

After having installing icecast server and edcast correctly, how could I know my url in order to provide it to my listeners?

Then..is there any chance to put the name of my radiostation in any list or whatsoever in order to find it, for example, through some players like VLC and Winamp?

Any help is appreciated.

the url of the stream is http://server:port/mountpoint, just fill in the details. you should also find the very same details on the status page at http://server:port/

We provide a directory of public streams that list with us, some others also provide similar directories. Ours is located at dir.xiph.org which you should see a reference to in the sample xml files we ship.
