Hi guys - hope you can help..

We use Icecast (obviously) for streaming our student radio station - and I've developed some software (in php) that configures and monitors it's status. [ documented here : http://jimleach.co.uk/docs/TechnicalDocument.pdf ]

One of the features I want to add is statistics - currently we use awstats for log-file analysis, but i'm looking to write a custom system..

On to the question - I'd like to get a list of all the IP addresses of all the clients currently connected, and the time they've been connected for.

Using xsl I'm trying [listclients2.xsl]:

Code:

<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl = "http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version = "1.0" >

<xsl:template match="/icecast" >

<listclients>
<xsl:for-each select="icecast/source">
<xsl:for-each select="mount">
<xsl:for-each select="listener">
<listener>
        <address><xsl:value-of select="IP" /></address>
        <connected><xsl:value-of select="Connected" /></connected>
</listener>
</xsl:for-each>
</xsl:for-each>
</xsl:for-each>
</listclients>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

The most I get out of this is a mish mash of sources, mountpoints and ID3 tags etc.

Any help would be most appreciative!

Cheers![/code]

The per-listener stats are not actually part of the stats storage mechanism and are only added for particular admin requests. I'm experimenting with making them available for any admin request, but haven't decided on the exact internal mechanisms yet.

As a 'wishlist request' - Could icecast log IP addresses/stats to MySQL instead of/including the xslt files. I could imagine there are a few developers out there who'd like to produce logging/stats systems but without having to do tonnes of regex on the log files (which I personally can't do for love nor money, but I can do mysql)...

Cheers

You can certainly add a request into trac.xiph.org, at least that way it won't be forgotten about.
