|
|
Hello,
It seems that I'm running out of luck this month
It seems there is a problem with the way client are counted by icecast:
- I set up my icecast limits like this:
Code: |
<clients>32768</clients>
<sources>512</sources>
|
- my sysctl allows up to 786432 opened files
- I also have this in my /etc/security/limits.conf:
There were about 1700 TCP connection on my server, but icecast was refusing new connections:
Code: |
[2010-12-15 07:52:18] WARN connection/_handle_get_request server client limit reached (32768/32769) |
Another time, there were around 37000 TCP connections on my servers, but from the icecast point of view, there were 52000 connections on my servers.
Strange isn'it? _________________ Guillaume |

I do log the actual limit in the error log but you can verify the actual process limits with cat /proc/<pid>/limits.
It is certainly possible that I have caused a client leak in the build you are using which is why getting as much information as possible helps. To reach 32k though does require something repeating a lot if it is a client leak so what occurs that frequently in your setup?

Process limits are OK in the /proc/<pid>/limits...
This problems occurs every 2 or 3 days, always at night or in the morning, when the traffic is low... _________________ Guillaume |
